According to one United Nations estimate, 113 to 200 million women are demographically missing from the world today. That is to say, there should be 113 to 200 million more women walking the earth, who aren’t. By that same estimate, 1.5 to 3 million women and girls lose their lives every year because of gender-based neglect or gender-based violence and Sexual Violence in Conflict ( Read more about UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict www.stoprapenow.org/ ). We can point a finger at poverty. But poverty alone does not result in these women’s deaths; the blame also falls on the social system and attitudes of the societies.

India alone accounts for more than 50 million of the women who are missing due to female foeticide - the sex-selective abortion of girls, dowry death, gender-based neglect and all forms of violence against women.

Since the late 1970s when the technology for sex determination first came into being, sex selective abortion has unleashed a saga of horror in India. Experts are calling it sanitized barbarism.The 2001 Census conducted by Government of India, showed a sharp decline in the child sex ratio in 80% districts of India. The Census Report of 2001 reveals a highly skewed child sex ratio (0-6 year-olds), that fell from 945 females per 1,000 males in 1991 to an all-time low of 927 in 2001. The ratio even dropped further to 800:1,000 in some specific parts of the country. Additional data from the India’s birth and death registration service indicates that the figures have further fallen to fewer than 900 females per 1,000 men over the last few years.

The decline in the sex ratio and the millions of Missing Women are indicators of the feudal patriarchal resurgence. Violence against women has gone public â€" whether it is dowry murders, honour killings, sex selective abortions or death sentences awarded to young lovers from different communities by caste councils, it is only women’s groups who are protesting â€" the public and institutional response to these trends is very minimal.

Sex rings and child prostitution involves power structures which actively recruit vulnerable children and youth. When we say "power Structures", we're talking about the very high of highs of our government down to Judges, Medical professionals, Police, Attorneys, etc.

Children used in sex rings are often subjected to terribly cruel and sadistic physical abuse in addition to sexual abuse. There is profound trauma associated with being used in child prostitution and child sex rings.

The impact of the abuse can be life-long, often resulting in emotional and physical problems as well as behavioural problems such: as prostitution, street youth, crime and homelessness.

Survivors often lose a sense of personal power and have difficulty making good, choices as adults.

For the survivor who was abused as a child by a group of adults there is no safe place. People "out there" do not offer safety and protection; survivors always feel isolated, powerless, helpless.

The survivor's adult body carries significant internal stress as a result of repeated early abuse. The high degree of stress causes an inordinate amount of physical and medical problems for survivors.

Child prostitution and child sex rings exist in all countries and in all the major cities in the United States of America. Even in some smaller communities there can be highly active and organized child sex rings.

Why is society in denial, and how is this accomplished?
* Society is associated with the government/media.
* There is profit in denial.Child sex is a BIG BUSINESS, and like most of the
controllers of business, they are NOT about to allow anyone or anything come in the
way of their profits. Abusers have a vested interest in denial and comfort.
* Comfort, vested interest and both conscious and unconscious guilt.
* Those who have not experienced this type of trauma have difficulty in understanding
or believe this is/could be going on.
* Often those who attack survivors are often in denial about abusers and abuse.
* Not caring about it because its not "their" problem.

Notice how stories like this come and go. You never hear what happens to the people who do the crime, or the well being of the children. That's because the main stream media don't want you to know the truth, the law enforcement are very much in on it and make sure no one knows the truth.

Keep your eyes open for the truth. Those you trust are the MAIN perpitrators of child abuse/rape/sex trade.
